Camera Workshop: Panasonic DVX200


To begin using the Panasonic DVX200, we practiced setting up the tripod and mounting the camera. We worked on shooting, trying over the shoulder shots and working on exposure, as well as zoom using the camera's 3 rings for focus, zoom, and iris. By mounting the microphone to the top of the camera, we were also able to try out shooting with sound. 



We also learnt how to white balance the camera so that skin tones and other colours appeared in the shots closer to how they look in real life.


Walking shots were also able to be tested due to the camera's image stabilizer feature as shown in the video below:


Two SD cards can be used simultaneously with the Panasonic DVX200  as one can be recording in HD while the other records in 4K. There is also a choice between using the eyepiece to view shots whilst filming or a touchscreen. An auto focus feature can be used to help ensure the final frame is clear or the focus can be adjusted manually.
